We are a small roastery located by the sea in Lauttasaari, Helsinki. Our name comes from the roaster and the professional roasting team that works around it.
We are deeply fascinated by the impact of the characteristics of a coffee's origin on its taste. It was inspired by this that we founded our roastery in 2016.

Our selection

Our wide selection of coffees will surely find the perfect coffee for you - whether you like a lighter or darker roast, filter coffee or espresso. The diverse range includes both established blends and fascinating Single Origin seasonal coffees that complement them.

Our coffees are the result of years of development and raw material optimization by our roasting team. You can tell by the taste. 😉

We roast all our coffees at our Lauttasaari roastery. Because we produce our coffee ethically and ecologically, you can enjoy it with a clear conscience.

Where do you get our coffee?

As a consumer, you can buy our coffee from our online store , roastery store, Kaffecentralen coffee shop in Kamppi, Helsinki, or from our corporate customers' cafes and restaurants. If you represent a company (hotel, restaurant, cafe or office), we serve you through our corporate sales department.

PURITY

We roast our coffee using the environmentally friendly Loring Kestrel S35 roaster. Its gas consumption and greenhouse gas emissions are up to 40% lower than traditional roasters. Our gentler roasting process also reduces our roasting waste.

Our consumer packaging is made of recyclable plastic, and we have offset their carbon emissions by replacing open fire coffee making with stoves in Kenya and Ethiopia. As our HoReCa customer, you can choose the Zero Waste concept.

RESPONSIBILITY

For coffee to be produced responsibly, the entire production chain, from farmer to consumer, must operate in accordance with sustainable development. We source our coffee beans from responsible operators, and we know their exact origin. We also guide our customers on how to use coffee responsibly.

We source the majority (90%, 2021) of our coffee from Fair Trade and organic coffee farmers. We produce our Harvest Season coffees on environmentally friendly small farms and purchase them directly from farmers or small green coffee traders. We are constantly looking for more responsible ways to promote a sustainable coffee culture.

TASTE

We roast our coffee beans gently to preserve the delicate and complex flavors of their ingredients. This brings out the best qualities of the coffee and guarantees a captivating taste. To ensure the best taste experience, we taste each batch of coffee we roast before sending it to our customers.
